Chevron Faces Criminal Probe Over Flaring At Calif. Plant

Law360, New York (September 24, 2012, 4:21 PM EDT) -- Chevron Corp. is facing a criminal investigation by federal environmental authorities over a finding that its Richmond, Calif., oil refinery plant had contained a flare pipe that burned harmful gases into the atmosphere, a California air quality regulator confirmed Monday.
