Apple's ICloud Trademark Challenged By Co. Named ICloud

Law360, New York (September 24, 2012, 9:02 PM EDT) -- Apple Inc.'s bid to trademark the name of its iCloud storage service was opposed Wednesday by a North Dakota company that claims it has used the iCloud name for over a decade.

ICloud Inc., which says that it offers cloud computing services for documents and medical imaging, filed a notice of opposition with the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board arguing that it would be damaged by by Apple's application to register the name.
