Experian Seeks To Kill Credit Report Monopoly Suit

Law360, New York (September 25, 2012, 4:13 PM EDT) -- Credit bureau Experian Information Solutions Inc. on Monday asked a Florida federal judge to toss a proposed class action claiming the reporting agency conspired with credit report reseller CoreLogic Inc., characterizing the suit as a new approach to old, discredited arguments.

Experian said the lawsuit from reseller Credit Bureau Services Inc. was the latest in a long line of unsuccessful claims that the credit agency, one of the Big Three, exploits a monopoly position to charge excessive prices for access to its trove of consumer data....
