Columbia, West Coast Banks To Merge In $506M Deal

Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 2:12 PM EDT) -- Northwestern community bank Columbia Bank System Inc. has agreed to buy West Coast Bancorp in a $506 million deal that will allow it to expand its services in Washington state and Oregon, Columbia said Wednesday, riding a wave of community bank mergers spurred by increased regulations.
