E-Commerce Co. Tries To Boot Robins Kaplan From IP Feud

Law360, New York (September 26, 2012, 3:08 PM EDT) -- An e-commerce management company locked in a Minnesota patent dispute with several leading insurers moved on Tuesday to disqualify Robins Kaplan Miller & Ciresi LLP from representing Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. and Safeco Insurance Co. of America, citing a conflict of interest.

Reshare Commerce LLC said Robins Kaplan partner and intellectual property litigation group chair Ronald Schutz previously represented Reshare in a 2000 suit seeking to enforce the same direct-sales Web patent over which Reshare is currently suing Robins Kaplan clients Liberty Mutual and Safeco....
