Greece, Italy, Albania Commit To Trans-Adriatic Pipeline

Law360, New York (September 27, 2012, 8:42 PM EDT) -- The foreign ministers of Greece, Italy and Albania met late Thursday afternoon in New York to sign off on an intergovernmental pact endorsing the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline, one of two projects competing for the right to deliver Azerbaijani natural gas into Europe's waiting markets.

A Champagne toast capped off the agreement, while the ministers touted the project as a job creator and economic stimulant for the region as well as a critical piece of infrastructure — one that could pump as much as 16 billion cubic meters...
