John Travolta Wins Dismissal Of Author's Libel Suit

Law360, Los Angeles (September 27, 2012, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A California judge on Thursday threw out a libel case brought by the author of a book about John Travolta's alleged sexual exploits, finding that he could not show Travolta and attorney Marty Singer defamed him in a letter to a gossip website.

According to court documents, the high-profile Hollywood attorney, acting on behalf of Travolta, wrote the letter to Gawker.com demanding it retract an article in which Robert Randolph said he witnessed alleged sexual encounters involving Travolta.
