Mattel Wins Battle With Porn Site Over 'Barbie Griffin' Mark

Law360, New York (October 2, 2012, 5:24 PM EDT) -- Barbie maker Mattel Inc. has won a victory in a closely watched, six-year trademark battle as the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board denied an adult website operator's bid to register “Barbie Griffin” as a mark because it would likely cause consumer confusion with the iconic doll.
