Motorola Devices Violate Internet Ad Patent, Suit Says

Law360, New York (October 4, 2012, 12:32 PM EDT) -- Motorola Mobility Holdings LLC on Tuesday became the latest target of a Memphis, Tenn.-based firm that claims several Motorola tablets and smartphones tread on a patent covering technology that enhances personalized Internet advertising.

B.E. Technology LLC alleges that Motorola's mobile devices offer personalized user interfaces that allow access to Internet advertising that is either identical or legally equivalent to an approach protected under U.S. Patent Number 6,771,290.
