Pillsbury Hit With Suit By San Jose Over Oakland A's Docs

Law360, Los Angeles (October 5, 2012, 10:37 PM EDT) -- San Jose, Calif., sued Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP in Santa Clara County court Thursday, saying the law firm refuses to return privileged documents accidentally handed over in response to public records requests related to the Oakland Athletics' proposed move to the city.

Thursday’s lawsuit raises allegations that Pillsbury Winthrop refused to return privileged documents accidentally handed over as part of a challenge to a proposed San Jose ballpark project that could lure the Athletics baseball team from its home in nearby Oakland.
