White House Slammed For Global Warming Testimony

Law360, New York (October 25, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Several members of Congress are up in arms over the White House's apparent editing of written testimony from the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the health effects of global warming.

Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), who acts as the chairwoman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, lashed out at the White House on Wednesday for cutting in half the six-page opening statement of Dr. Julie Gerberding, director of the CDC, during her appearance Tuesday before the committee.
