FCC's Copps Urges Review Of Dow Jones-News Deal

Law360, New York (October 26, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Michael Copps, a commissioner with the U.S. Federal Communications Commission, in a letter to FCC Chairman Kevin Martin on Thursday called for further investigation into the possible effects of the pending merger between News Corp. and Dow Jones & Co.

Copps said he was concerned that the merger would put too many media outlets in the hands of one company.
