US Still Subsidizing Boeing, EU Tells WTO

Law360, New York (October 11, 2012, 3:53 PM EDT) -- The European Union on Thursday formally asked the World Trade Organization to investigate whether the U.S. has complied with orders to stop providing subsidies for Boeing Co., reopening a long-running dispute between the trading partners.

The U.S. said in September that it had withdrawn state aid to Boeing, meeting the demands of a March ruling by the WTO's dispute body that found the U.S. had provided the aerospace giant with $5.3 billion in illegal subsidies.
