Highmark, West Penn Look To Rekindle Merger Talks

Law360, Philadelphia (October 12, 2012, 7:29 PM EDT) -- In a letter from senior Highmark Inc. officials on Friday, the insurer sought to rekindle a merger with West Penn Allegheny Health System two weeks after a $475 million deal fell through following claims from West Penn that Highmark had violated a joint affiliation agreement between the two.
