2 More Drugs May Be Linked To Meningitis Outbreak, FDA Says

Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 6:25 PM EDT) -- Two more drugs created by the pharmacy linked to a nationwide meningitis outbreak are suspected of contamination and may have caused meningitis and another type of fungal infection, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration said Monday.

The New England Compounding Center, a compounding pharmacy based in Massachusetts, distributed thousands of doses of an injectable steroid that authorities say was contaminated and has led to more than 200 reported cases of meningitis nationwide.
