Dewey Wants Authority To Collect $154M From Ex-Clients

Law360, New York (October 15, 2012, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Dewey & LeBoeuf LLP asked a New York bankruptcy judge Monday to let it subpoena "recalcitrant" former clients for documents that will help it collect $154 million in remaining accounts receivable, one of its biggest remaining assets, and implement alternative dispute resolution procedures.

The debtor notes that while it and its collection agent, On-Site Associates LLC, have collected nearly $59 million so far in accounts receivable, the lion's share remains uncollected, while there is still $27 million of unbilled work in progress on the firm's balance...
