Pa. House OKs Bill Establishing Foreign Subpoena Procedure

Law360, Philadelphia (October 16, 2012, 6:52 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania House of Representatives gave final approval Monday to a bill giving state courts the power to subpoena state residents and other entities when discovery is sought in cases being litigated outside Pennsylvania.

The Uniform Interstate Discovery and Depositions Act, which is designed as a means of adopting the same rules governing foreign depositions across the U.S., won unanimous approval in the House.
