Companies Use More Law Firms To Lower Costs

Law360, New York (October 17, 2012, 8:08 PM EDT) -- Companies are increasingly spreading their tight budgets among more firms, moving away from consolidation and forcing law firms to work harder than ever to win work from corporate clients, a new report on corporate legal spending says.

Corporate counsel turned to more law firms this year, with firms competing against eight more firms on average than in 2011, according to the Premium Practices Forecast 2013 report from The BTI Consulting Group (Wellesley, Mass.).
