Espacio’s Revised $412M Project Lands Miami Panel's OK

Law360, New York (October 18, 2012, 1:37 PM EDT) -- A $412 million mixed-use project with apartments, offices and retail space that is being spearheaded by Espacio USA, a subsidiary of Spanish development giant Inmobiliaria Espacio, was approved by a Miami panel Wednesday evening.

In a 10-1 vote, the city of Miami’s Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board gave its nod to the recently revised project at 1400 Biscayne Center, which has been in the works since 2010, despite voicing some concerns of how it might pair with Genting Group’s proposed casino plans across the street....
