IDB Taps PE Managers For China-Latin America Funds

Law360, New York (October 17, 2012, 2:42 PM EDT) -- The Inter-American Development Bank on Wednesday tapped the private equity arms of Australia's Macquarie Group Ltd., U.S.-based Franklin Templeton Investments and Shanghai merchant bank SinoLatin Capital to manage a new investment platform that will see the IDB co-invest with China's export-import bank in Latin America.

The new initiative includes an infrastructure fund, to be managed by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets; a mid-market corporate fund under Darby Private Equity, Franklin Templeton's private investment manager; and a mining, energy and agriculture fund advised by SinoLatin Investment Advisors....
