Purported Consultant Cops To School District Kickback Plot

Law360, Chicago (October 18, 2012, 8:28 PM EDT) -- An Illinois man who once posed as a consultant pled guilty Thursday to acting as a middleman in a nearly 10-year scheme to steer student bus contracts and millions in profits by funneling kickback payments to North Chicago school district employees.

Barrett White, 53, pled guilty to one count of honest services wire fraud under a plea agreement with prosecutors, becoming the third of five defendants to cop to playing a role in the alleged fraud.
