Kolon, Execs Charged With Stealing DuPont Trade Secrets

Law360, New York (October 18, 2012, 3:07 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice is seeking $225 million from Kolon Industries Inc. over allegations unsealed Thursday that the South Korean body armor maker and five executives worked to steal trade secrets from DuPont Co. over the manufacture of Kevlar.

The DOJ, along with the U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, unsealed an Aug. 21 indictment against Kolon and five of its executives on Thursday, after a Virginia federal grand jury charged them with criminal trade secret theft.
