San Fran Transbay High-Rise Project Secures Key Approvals

Law360, New York (October 19, 2012, 4:16 PM EDT) -- The San Francisco Planning Commission gave its final approval Thursday to developer Hines Interests LP's plans to build the 61-story Transbay Tower, the centerpiece of a larger $4.2 billion transit-oriented project.

In a series of four votes, the commission adopted findings for the high-rise under the California Environmental Quality Act, accepted new shadow limits that had been approved by another commission, allocated about 1.3 million office space to the tower and gave a stamp of approval that the project complies with San Francisco planning code....
