Lexar Settles Lawsuit Against Memtek Over Memory Cards

Law360, New York (August 15, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Digital media maker Lexar Media Inc. has settled a patent infringement case against rival Memtek Products Inc. over Memorex-branded CompactFlash cards sold before November 2004.

Under the terms of the agreement, Memtek—which makes the Memorex brand of storage media—will make a one-time payment for past sales of the products and will agree to an injunction to prevent it from violating Lexar's patents for the products in the future.
