Pa. Enviros Warn Dems Of Potential State-Park Fracking

Law360, Philadelphia (October 24, 2012, 3:50 PM EDT) -- Pennsylvania Democratic legislators heard testimony Wednesday from environmentalists attacking interventions by the state’s Republican administration into the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources aimed at potentially opening state parks to natural gas drilling.

The hearing, held in Philadelphia by the House Democratic Policy Committee, was prompted by the abrupt resignation of award-winning director of state parks John Norbeck, who stepped down from his position under pressure on Oct. 19.
