Interpublic Settles Suit Over After-Party OT Claims

Law360, New York (October 23, 2012, 2:08 PM EDT) -- The Interpublic Group of Cos. on Friday agreed to settle claims that it forced employees working at its various public relations units to work after-hour celebrity events and cocktail parties without overtime pay or state-mandated breaks.

The settlement, valued at $327,000, is intended to compensate nonexempt California employees who worked at Interpublic public relations units Rogers & Cowan, PMK + BNC, Axis, GolinHarris and Weber Shandwick.
