Covington Inks 20-Year Lease For New DC Office

Law360, New York (October 24, 2012, 5:01 PM EDT) -- After months of negotiation, Covington & Burling LLP officially inked a new 20-year lease to become the anchor office tenant of CityCenter DC, a massive mixed-use development going up in downtown Washington, D.C., the firm and the building developers said Tuesday.

The new deal secures Covington about 420,000 square feet in the office portion of the seven-building, 10-acre complex that is currently under construction and being spearheaded by Hines Interests LP, Archstone and TFI US Real Estate Fund, the firm said. The official deal comes about...
