Dell Must Turn Over Docs In Round Rock Patent Suit

Law360, New York (October 24, 2012, 10:12 PM EDT) -- The Federal Circuit on Tuesday said Dell Inc. must turn over sensitive documents to attorneys representing patent holder Round Rock Research in a lawsuit accusing the computer maker of infringing multiple patents related to server-management technology.

In the nonprecedential ruling on Dell's writ of mandamus, the judges agreed with the Delaware District Court, finding that Dell must hand over subpoenaed files to Desmarais LLP, founded by former Kirkland & Ellis LLP partner John Desmarais, who also owns Round Rock.
