Acer Counters HP Suits With ITC, Wisc. Court Actions

Law360, New York (October 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Acer Inc. has opened up another patent battlefront with Hewlett-Packard Co. by filing new complaints in a Wisconsin federal court and with the U.S. International Trade Commission over personal computer, server and peripheral device technology.

Acer announced Wednesday that the complaints were filed a day earlier in part as a response to HP's lawsuits filed against the Taipei, Taiwan-based computer manufacturer in a Texas federal court earlier this year.
