Ex-FCC General Counsel Joins Google's Legal Team

Law360, New York (October 25, 2012, 5:52 PM EDT) -- Google Inc. has added former Federal Communications Commission general counsel Austin Schlick to its legal team, five months after the agency announced his departure, Google confirmed Thursday.

A Google spokeswoman did not specify what position Schlick holds on the legal team.

Upon announcing Schlick’s exit, FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski said Schlick, the commission’s general counsel since 2009, had prevailed in 90 percent of the court cases challenging FCC orders while serving as the regulator's top legal adviser.
