6th Circ. Upholds Quicken's Win In Loan Officers' OT Suit

Law360, New York (October 25, 2012, 7:33 PM EDT) -- The Sixth Circuit on Thursday upheld a Michigan jury's verdict in favor of Quicken Loans Inc. in a class action accusing the company of misclassifying nearly 450 of its mortgage loan officers as exempt from overtime regulations and therefore ineligible for overtime pay.

A three-judge panel said the jury's determination that the mortgage loan officers were properly classified under the Fair Labor Standards Act was supported by the evidence offered by Quicken Loans during the five-week trial.
