Law360, New York (October 29, 2012, 12:00 PM EDT) -- In January 2011, President Barack Obama signed a law which enabled the Patent Pilot Program to be implemented in 14 United States district courts. The program seeks to address perceived shortcomings in the management of patent infringement cases in federal courts. In each of the 14 districts selected for the program, certain judges have volunteered to be designated as patent judges, and will accept patent cases from other judges in the district who did not volunteer....
