Judge Denies Stay In MP3 Player Patent Dispute

Law360, New York (October 31, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A Texas federal judge has refused to halt an infringement suit against Apple Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. and SanDisk Corp. during a U.S. Patent and Trademark Office re-examination of a patent for digital music players.

Judge T. John Ward of the Eastern District of Texas denied Apple's motion to stay the case while the patent is once again under the PTO's scrutiny.
