Jet Parts Co. Wins $13M For Dinsmore's Fraud During Merger

Law360, New York (October 26, 2012, 9:11 PM EDT) -- An Ohio jury on Wednesday awarded $12.6 million to Florida jet-parts maker TurboCombustor Technology Inc., which successfully sued Cincinnati-based law firm Dinsmore & Shohl LLP for covering up a suit involving the shareholders of two machine companies TurboCombustor acquired in 2005.

Dinsmore failed to tell the buyer about a dispute among the shareholders of Ohio-based Douglas Machine & Tool Co. Inc. and affiliated Hungarian entity Douglas Machine and Manufacturing LLC, Judge John Andrew West ruled in August.
