Omeros Can't Exclude NIH Testimony From Ex-CFO's FCA Suit

Law360, New York (October 29, 2012, 1:28 PM EDT) -- A Washington federal judge on Friday refused Omeros Corp.'s bid to exclude testimony of National Institutes of Health employees from a False Claims Act case, calling the comments relevant to allegations that the biopharmaceutical developer abused a grant program and fired a whistleblower.

The testimony from three NIH staffers directly addresses accusations from Richard J. Klein, former chief financial officer at Omeros, that the company falsely reported spending time on a grant-funded project, U.S. District Judge John C. Coughenour said.
