Planned Parenthood Sues Over Texas Rule Cutting Funds

Law360, New York (October 26, 2012, 7:05 PM EDT) -- A day after the Fifth Circuit refused to reconsider its decision backing a Texas rule cutting off state funds to clinics affiliated with abortion providers, Planned Parenthood launched a suit in state court alleging that the rule violates state law.

The group snagged a temporary restraining order Friday, prohibiting the state from enforcing the rule until a hearing early next month.
