Manufacturer, Target Sued Over Bumbo Baby Seat

Law360, New York (November 01, 2007, 12:00 AM ET) -- The South African company that manufactures the Bumbo Baby Sitter seat and retailer Target Corp. were hit with a product liability suit Wednesday, days after the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall of the popular children’s chair.

The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas by the parents of Blake Stanley, who fell out of a Bumbo seat after it was placed on a raised surface, severely injuring his head when he hit the floor. The complaint...
