Gov't Contractors Attack Political Donation Ban At Hearing

Law360, Washington (October 31, 2012, 7:06 PM EDT) -- Three government contractors pushed a Washington federal judge on Wednesday to overturn a Federal Election Commission statute banning them from making contributions to political candidates and parties, saying their political speech rights trump the government's coercion fears.
