Texas Grid Operator OKs Luminant Plants' Shutdown

Law360, New York (October 31, 2012, 3:19 PM EDT) -- Texas’ grid operator on Tuesday cleared the way for Luminant Generation Co. LLC to shut down two units at a coal-fired power plant for the winter, saying they aren’t necessary to ensure grid reliability after considering a rarely used plan to pay Luminant to keep the units active.
