Pa. Consumer Advocate Asks For Review Of New PECO Charge

Law360, Philadelphia (November 1, 2012, 4:57 PM EDT) -- The Pennsylvania Office of the Consumer Advocate filed a formal complaint against PECO Energy Co. last week, challenging the utility’s announcement that it would remove natural gas procurement costs from base rates and recover them from a separate charge.

In the complaint, which was first publicized on Wednesday, the OCA sought to ensure that the shifting of charges, which would affect nearly $2 million in revenues, has no impact on overall rates for consumers.
