China Adds EU Cos. To Expanded Probe Of Solar Suppliers

Law360, New York (November 1, 2012, 4:57 PM EDT) -- China's Ministry of Commerce said Thursday it would launch a probe to evaluate whether European Union companies are dumping solar-grade polysilicon into the Chinese market, a move that expands already initiated investigations into U.S. and South Korean solar panel suppliers.

The commerce ministry, known as MOFCOM, said in a statement that following a complaint by domestic producers, it was adding EU producers to existing anti-dumping and countervailing duty investigations of U.S. and South Korean imports opened in July.
