FDA Head To Talk Compounder Oversight In Meningitis Hearing

Law360, New York (November 5, 2012, 7:16 PM EST) -- The head of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will testify next week at the first congressional hearing on the meningitis outbreak that has claimed 30 lives, and will discuss the FDA’s role in overseeing the compounding pharmacy that caused the outbreak, lawmakers said Monday.

The Energy and Commerce Committee's oversight and investigations panel will hold the hearing, the first scheduled on the outbreak, on Nov. 14.
