DOJ Partly Wins Subpoena Fight In GM Trade Secrets Case

Law360, New York (November 7, 2012, 5:49 PM EST) -- A Michigan federal judge on Monday pared a subpoena request from two electrical engineers accused of scheming to steal General Motors Co.'s hybrid car technology trade secrets and give them to a Chinese rival, partially granting prosecutors' bid to deny the requests.

U.S. District Judge Marianne O. Battani ruled two that witness statements and two documents from GM's email accounts could be admitted, but did not provide the reason for her decision, according to an attorney familiar with the case.
