Makers Of Handheld Devices For Patients Settle Patent Suit

Law360, New York (August 24, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Two makers of cutting-edge personal handhelds for patient monitoring have settled patent litigation leveled against eTrials Worldwide Inc. by PHT Corporation.

Massachusetts-based PHT filed the complaint in July 2004 against rival health care device maker eTrials, asserting the patent for its “health monitoring system.” The technology had allegedly been infringed by eTrial’s primary product eClinical software.
