IP Litigation Partners Averaged $400K Last Year, Survey Shows

Law360, New York (August 25, 2005, 12:00 AM EDT) -- IP litigation partners pulled in an average compensation of almost $400,000 in the last year, according to an annual survey by Altman Weil Associates.

Total compensation for U.S. partners averaged $336,000 in 2004, while associates made $121,000, the Survey of Law Firm Economics showed.

IP partners classified by the survey as working on “non-litigation” made $337,000, roughly in line with the national average for partners. Associates reported income of $149,000 on average, the survey showed.
