Jones Day Reps Sherwin-Williams In $2B Mexican Paint Co. Buy

Law360, New York (November 13, 2012, 12:09 PM EST) -- The Sherwin-Williams Co. will scoop up Mexican paint and coatings business Consorcio Comex SA de CV in a $2.34 billion deal that bolsters its presence in emerging markets in Latin America and across the U.S., Sherwin-Williams said Monday.

Under the terms of the all-cash deal, Cleveland-based Sherwin-Williams will take on Comex's debt. The companies did not say how much of the total consideration would be a cash payment versus debt, and Sherwin-Williams did not give a breakdown of its financing plans. The transaction is subject to...
