Bakers Union Strike Spells End Of 3 Hostess Bakeries

Law360, New York (November 13, 2012, 3:52 PM EST) -- Bankrupt Hostess Brands Inc. on Monday said it was shuttering three bakeries due to a strike that began last week by the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers & Grain Millers International Union and that widespread strikes threatened to shut down the entire company.

The Twinkie maker blamed the strike for preventing the soon-to-be-closed facilities in Cincinnati, Seattle and St. Louis from producing or delivering products.
