NRC To Conduct Post-Sandy Inspection At Exelon Plant

Law360, New York (November 13, 2012, 6:52 PM EST) -- The Nuclear Regulatory Commission will conduct a special inspection of Exelon Corp.’s New Jersey-based Oyster Creek power plant to explore the plant's response to water level issues that arose from Hurricane Sandy’s impact, the agency announced Tuesday.

According to the regulator, it had sent a team of three inspectors to review the circumstances around Exelon’s event declaration activities for water level increases in the 600-megawatt plant’s water intake structure during the hurricane, beginning Tuesday.
