Medicare Overpaid Nursing Providers $1.5B In 2009: Report

Law360, New York (November 13, 2012, 7:19 PM EST) -- Skilled nursing facilities improperly billed Medicare for $1.5 billion in payments in 2009 and made errors in a quarter of all their claims that year, according to a report released Tuesday by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
