NAIC Names Interim CEO As Chief Accelerates Departure Plans

Law360, New York (November 19, 2012, 3:32 PM EST) -- The National Association of Insurance Commissioners said Friday its CEO would be stepping down at the end of this month instead of early 2013 and handing the torch to the NAIC's chief operating officer and chief legal officer for now.

Terri Vaughan's resignation as the NAIC's CEO takes effect Nov. 30. Andrew Beal, the group's COO and chief legal officer, will take over as acting CEO, as the the association continues its national search for Vaughan's replacement.
